FOUR PROJECTS!!!

I have four projects on the go using Rork AI. It is very good for simple database apps and I can see from the community efforts like a Pickleball tracker for smart watches that detects strokes etc. Very cleverly accessing phone hardware! The most complex of my apps are:

1. Embedding Javascript based apps that have their own UI and integrating them into a larger framework
2. Using 2FA, social media connectors, camera and more to create a killer app!
I will share more as I release the apps.

Creating an app using AI requires carefully structured thought and an approach that considers technology architecture, role definition, database modelling and perhaps process design. In essence, you need a REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT! Fortunately for me, that's my world! That and AI! I have done AI Architecture and used AI in several contexts, including cyber security governance.

I am 80% of the way through developing my first AI developed app. There are assumptions we all make about the way AI will work for us, including its context and memory, but AI app generators frequently fall down in different ways.
I have evaluated dozens of app generators, short listed six for further evaluation and then had to pick between two hot contenders - the first uses widely used web technologies, the second is based on Flutter.
I settled on Rork and have been using it for some weeks now. In general, the experience has been very positive and I have been able to mock up the app with seed data. The biggest hurdle has actually been creating and populating a SupaBase instance. Some of the AI app builders come with a database already connected, but may fall short in other usability requirements. Rork has been by far the best build environment for me.
LEARNINGS? Maybe to connect a live DB earlier in the process and push changes in database structure to it as I go rather than later when I have the structure all settled.
CHALLENGES? I will take the app through Alpha and Beta testing with some local businesses in Launceston, Tasmania and there will no doubt be some DB changes necessary. This does actually mean generating scripts in Rork and running them in Supabase, but the UI and general app modelling strengths of Rork still have me convinced it has been a good, no, perhaps the best choice.
PRODUCTIVITY? IMMENSE. It would take a team of programmers and a part-time project manager several weeks to do what I have done in a few weeks!
COMPLEXITY? There has been a steep learning curve, so don't let the promos fool you - this is not for the feint hearted, BUT if you have a background in Business Analysis and understand technology architecture it is just AMAZING!
I will be spinning up a new brand for my apps, which will be aimed at helping small businesses with pain points. Stay tuned and I will share more on that soon!

I am successfully developing an app using a new facility that does really nice looking apps for both Apple and Android. It can also provide a web interface. This app is aimed at small businesses and has maps in it with routes. It is really clever and amazing what I have been able to do.

What this new platform means for you is your spreadsheets or old databases can be redeveloped into a modem, phone based app that makes them really accessible! The other bonus is that these apps are smarter than 90% of the apps out there because they can use the phone's features like the camera, video, microphone and location (where many apps are just websites inside an app wrapper and can't get to the device controls).

If you have looked into this, you may have seen self-proclaimed BPMN experts promoting themselves on LinkedIn. They are often good at marketing and can do a decent BPMN diagram, but most are lacking the depth that a study of BPMN 2.0 with its four diagram types and amazing ability to power a process automation engine bring to the table.

Are they wrong then? Or do they just have tunnel vision? How do we reconcile differing views of BPMN and business modelling in general?
