I knew this client was for me when told me her little girls name - and then explained she loved it because it had a cute, boyish nickname ๐Ÿฅน

Anyone who has been around here long enough knows that itโ€™s my personal dream to name all the girls with traditional boys names (not that I make any girls myself ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Hip dysplasia can change what the newborn days look like.

Instead of tiny outfits and endless cuddles, there can be harnesses, appointments, scans, specialistsโ€ฆ and a whole lot of uncertainty.

And for a first-time mum, that can feel devastating. You imagined those first precious weeks one way, and suddenly youโ€™re learning how to mother through something you never saw coming.

But this isnโ€™t this mumโ€™s first hippy babe.

Sheโ€™s been here before.

And this time, she chose something different.

She chose to cherish it instead of fear it.

To embrace the harness, the extra appointments, the different way of holding her baby โ€” and still soak up every squishy, sleepy, newborn bit of her.

Because the harness is part of her story.

And itโ€™s part of mums story too ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Because this stage? The missing teeth, sticky hands, wild hair, big personalities and tiny cuddles?

Itโ€™s already disappearing.
