I recommend the A Midnight Social production of Jesse Eisenberg’s The Revisionist as an opportunity to see three strong performances. Like me, you may come away feeling that you’d never like to meet someone like David, and that the playwright could perhaps have made some revisions to this play. ...

We don't go to many classical concerts so it was a treat to experience "Revolution Remixed" performed by Camerata - Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra at QPAC Performing Arts Centre

Camerata’s Revolution Remixed includes an impressive performance of Beethoven’s Eroica, and an arrangement of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition by Julian Yu—making for a very pleasant way in which to spend a cool, late May, Friday evening in Brisbane.

Featuring Mirusia, Eva Kong, Rosario La Spina. Matthew Broadbent, Opera Queensland Young Artist Program Singers Aylish Ryan, Nick Keirkup and Jia Peng Yeung. Accompanied by the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra and The Queensland Choir conducted by Tahu Matheson. Compered by Ed Le Brocq

Our last show at the 2026 Anywhere Festival Brisbane. "The Agent" was a great way to finish. Presented by Zebramez Creative at Warehouse 25

The Agent a light-hearted mixture of physics, philosophy, property, and poo. An enjoyable world premiere at the 2026 Anywhere Festival was a fun demonstration of the talents of a local writer, director and cast.

We all react differently to traumatic events. This is the theme explored in "Brace Brace" presented by PIP Theatre

Brace Brace is another brave and successful PIP Theatre production, thanks to Deidre Grace’s impressive direction of the show, and collaboration with the cast and fellow creatives. Everyone more than pulls their weight and makes a significant contribution to the work.

Our last Anywhere Festival Brisbane show of the weekend was very different. Listening to classical music in a grungy location at The Paint Factory Yeronga seemed perfect. "Basement Baroque" presented by Evalyn Legried - Cellist

A concrete ‘brutalistic’ former factory might be considered an incongruous place in which to encounter the talents of acclaimed musicians, but the recent Basement Baroque show was a marvellous addition to the 2026 Anywhere Festival program.
