An incredible evening out amongst some great photographers all getting to witness such a cool event! Watching that full moon rise up partially eclipsed last night over Mt Hood was quite a fun highlight for August! Little noisy with the I5 traffic right behind us but everyone out there was getting such a treat with this show developing right in front of us 🌕 ⛰️

Just a guy and his 500mm lens watching birds fly around 🤷‍♂️ I do love me a good moon line up around sunset or sunrise! Just heading home from a beautiful camping trip and jonesing to get out for another fun lineup soon! Hopefully the sky can stay clear everything else comes together! Couple fun opportunities ahead 🌕

If you want to see a grown ass man genuinely become giddy, come watch me walk up to a scene like this at such a beautiful place 🤭 I was able to show a coworker out here last year who had never seen the west coast and he witnessed me happiness meter spike off the chart. Thankfully I at least had my phone on me to capture this but what I would’ve given to have my Nikon with me. If you know me, you know when I am thoroughly impressed with the outcome of what just transpired in front of me, you can usually find me standing back and clapping 👏, just basically saying thank you for such an amazing scene unfolding right before my eyes! And NO, that is not the sun nor the moon setting out there in the photo

After a long night out with friends enjoying the Milky Way rising over Mt Hood with these Lavender rows, we were blessed with an absolute stunner of a sunrise 🌅 this particular lavender farm is no longer available but I know there’s a couple others!

My goals are getting closer as I have gotten off the scooter and am “walking” more and working on my PT. Looking forward to getting that roof top tent on and getting back to some regular scheduled adventures ✨

The Columbia River Gorge - offering stunning views just steps from your car and some from high up in a plane from

No matter where I travel around the world, I’m always excited to come back home knowing how blessed we are to live in such a beautiful place.

It’s midway through summer and I hope you all have gotten to get out and enjoy some of these scenes whether it be from the Gorge or to the Coast and everything in between.

2 Years ago I got to set out on a trip so well planned I couldn’t believe it. I wanted the beautiful purple Lupine flowers to dress up some of these iconic landscapes along with some incredible conditions and couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out! Along with the Puffins, the midnight sun and the incredible cloud formations along the way, this was one of my favorite trips I had planned - planning trips is fun but I do enjoy the spontaneous adventures as well and just seeing what comes of them 🌅

A few weeks ago I had an idea to capture the full moon setting behind Haystack Rock so I decided to head out early that morning and join a couple photographers I invited for the show. I didn’t get any crazy photos with the moon but had a blast walking around enjoying the views!

In other news, I still have a while to go on my PT but things are healing well, the pain is gone from surgery and I can slightly flex my tendon a bit without pain! Looking forward to working on PT and getting back to walking by the end of summer 💪 lots of good things to look forward to! Thank you all for reaching out with your warm healing vibes 🙏

Milky Way season is here and I for one can’t wait to get out into the wilderness and enjoy those late night scenes, the long exposures and the excitement of seeing the photo on the back of the screen! Looking to pack up the car, fix my roof top tent and get out and connect with what I love. Lots of good opportunities coming up - where is one of your favorite spots to shoot Milky Way? Maybe I’ll see you out there!
