I can’t help but share photos of this beautiful lady and her growing family. She had hoped that we could shoot in this field and for the first time ever, it worked out. It’s usually standing water or no flowers but we got “dry” ground and beautiful flowers.

One special kid right here, although I don’t know if I can call him a kid anymore since he towers over me and laughs at my vertical challenges. When he started working at the ranch he wasn’t a whole lot bigger than me. But it has been an honor to watch him grow. I don’t know many adults my age that have the work ethic that Hunter has. Combine that with his out of this world intelligence, he’s going to go so far and I can’t wait to witness his journey and see where it takes him.

In case I have had you wondering, I’m still here!! Life is still pulling me different directions, but I get to get out and shoot here and there. My first senior session of this year and 9th paid shoot of 2024, which feels crazy, but hey, that’s life. This last year has really taught me to just go with the flow and be flexible. My life has no schedule to it. It’s a day by day and ever changing. It was a really nice break to just spend one hour laughing and finding creativity and composition again in something that I truly love to do.

This weekend I shot my last big wedding. I stopped taking them on after 2022, but for this bride, she was my exception. I’ve known her for half her life. I watched her grow up year after year at her great grandma Ellen’s house. She has always been something special. Her whole family became a second family to me when I moved to Centerville. Because of this, I have never cried so much at a wedding before. It was so incredibly special to be a part of it and I, one hundred percent, agree with you Shureenia. Your mom would have been so happy that I was the one taking your wedding photos.
