Chasing waves solo in October. Carrying a camera while trying to surf is something I don’t do that often. It’s clunky, too much movement, you’re constantly multitasking. Should I do this more?

Everyone talks about their personal bubble. But what happens when someone gets inside it? How would you feel? How would you react? How do you know you’d survive?

In Muay Thai, the clinch is where you step inside someone’s bubble and they step inside yours. Their weight on your neck, no space to breathe, head up, eyes open, knees and elbows landing.

I train this, and what it teaches is how to be comfortable in the uncomfortable. If that day ever comes, it feels familiar and you stay calm.
