What is your "go-to" treat after a physically demanding activity?

I photograph a handful of weddings every year. It's not something that I advertise, and most of my wedding clients these days are friends, past clients, or referrals from others. Photographing weddings is intense and requires a lot of physical work throughout the day (starting with hauling all of my equipment out to the car. 😂) and when I'm done, the only thing I want is a cold Diet Coke and French Fries. 😂

Last night's wedding at The Academy was no different! 😁

One of the hardest parts of this work is hearing women tell me they have wanted to book for years but kept putting themselves last.

Life gets busy. Kids need things. Work gets overwhelming. Confidence disappears somewhere along the way. I understand all of that more than you know.

A little behind-the-scenes honesty from me today.

I have done everything I could to avoid increasing pricing over the last few years, but as costs continue rising, I finally need to make some adjustments beginning July 1st. Small business ownership sometimes means making decisions that are necessary even when they are hard.

Before those changes happen though, I wanted to create one last opportunity for the women who have been cheering me on and following my work for years.

For the rest of June, any new 2026 bo***ir session booked can lock in my Essentials Collection at $975 before pricing increases take effect.

The collection includes:

Waiting until you lose weight can quietly become waiting forever. So many women postpone confidence, joy, and experiences they deeply want until some future version of themselves arrives. You are allowed to celebrate yourself exactly as you are right now. Life does not need to be on hold while you chase perfection.

Most clients who come into my studio are nervous at first. They are worried about posing, about their bodies, about whether they’re “photogenic enough.” Then somewhere during the experience, something shifts. That transformation is why I love this work so much.
