There’s something so sacred about the getting ready portion of a wedding day. It has become one of my favorite parts of the day because it’s where the story truly begins. 🤍
It’s the calm before the celebration — the quiet moments with your closest people, the final touches, the deep breaths, the anticipation.
Here’s why it matters:

• It captures emotions you can’t recreate — joy, nerves, laughter, prayers, hugs
• It documents the details you’ve thoughtfully chosen: your dress, florals, jewelry, flatlays, vows, heirlooms
• It gives space for intentional, slow moments before everything speeds up
And a few tips to help this part of the day flow beautifully:
✨ Choose a bright, clutter-free space — natural light makes a world of difference.
✨ Have your detail items gathered — invitations, rings, perfume, jewelry, vow books, shoes.
✨ Give yourself more time than you think — a relaxed morning photographs so much better.
✨ Keep the room tidy — designate one corner for bags, snacks, and random things.
✨ Prep your people — let bridesmaids, makeup artists, and family know when photography begins so everyone’s ready.
