Going to be unveiling some really amazing couples teasers throughout the week, and Payton & Jason are first up. Spent a delightful time with them, on a perfect May afternoon at Willows Lodge. The venue offers some really beautiful landscapes for gorgeous portraits, as you can see here. As for my time spent with the couple, we had fun, laughed till we cried, and ventured all over the property to find the good light. Payton & Jason were absolute naturals, and ready for anything. If you throw it down, I’m picking it up. So, give it your all, cause we will as well, and you’ll get results you’ll love.

Emily & Justin celebrated their love story at a beautiful venue, Lord Hill Farms. It seems that everything aligned just right for them, the weather, light, and the mood of the day. Their families and friends were all super joyous in embracing the love these two wonderful people share for one another. We love seeing family unity and effortless love make its way into weddings, and we love documenting it all.

A couple months ago, we had the pleasure of meeting Emily & Martin in person when they came and sat down in our studio for a meet and greet. They had booked us long before this, but a meeting face-to-face had not happened yet. Once we met them, it was evident that we would all get along beautifully. Fast forward to last weekend, and the chance to get more time with the two of them for their engagement session at Dune Peninsula. We timed it just right, as the Sun was disappearing over the horizon, and got some really beautifully lit, and stunningly romantic portraits of their shared love. Definitely looking forward to their wedding day, and the opportunity to spend even more time with two really wonderful people.

An absolutely delightful stroll through the Washington Park Arboretum for the engagement portrait session of Payton & Jason. Had so much fun joking and laughing with them along the way while we found our next “spot” for gorgeous portraits. We only recently connected with them, and booked their wedding. Was nice to move things along and get their engagement session in the calendar quite quickly. Doing it this way keeps things fresh. They’ll have their wedding very soon, and we are excited to spend that time with them as well. Sure to be more jokes and laughter.

A wedding is like the lunch break water cooler for us. We are often meeting couples and getting along to the point we’d like to continue the relationship. Sometimes it’s more challenging, like when a couple lives in Fairbanks, Alaska. Thankfully, I’ve been told they frequent Washington. Now we just have to hope that they reach out when nearby. I’ll tell you what, if we are in Fairbanks, we will be reaching out to them.

Cheri & Rurik are an amazing couple. Down to earth, super fun, and just delightful to be around. They have a warm welcoming presence as individuals, and it amplifies when they are together. This creates the complete understanding to why they are together. I look forward to welcoming that warmth back into my life when I get to see them again. For now, these photos will be a reminder of what makes them who they are.

Love when I meet couples in person and we have lots to talk about, and this time, it was talking about music. If you read Keith’s bio on the website, you will find music to be a HUGE part of his photography career. So, when a couple comes along and shares the same love of music, it is a great ice breaker to start good conversation. It was a nice time walking around Lincoln Park with Kelly & Isaac. Great getting to know them, and adventuring around the park. Hoping to connect and go to a concert sooner than later.

Started the day with Tamara & Ronald at Elope 253 in downtown Tacoma, surrounded by their closest family and friends for their intimate and sweet ceremony. Afterwards, we headed over to Spanish Steps at the Elk Lodge. Once we were done there, we went over to the Seymour Botanical Conservatory (for the 3rd time in a week). For those needing a rain plan in Tacoma, this is a great option. We managed to get a great photo with some ducks, and PARROT!!

Abi & Lance are the kind of couple that you want to spend more and more time with, they are magnets. We had the opportunity to have a wonderful outing with them for their engagement session, and were really looking forward to their wedding day. You know what, we weren’t wrong in thinking this way. We had such a nice time spending the day with them. Got to do their first-look at the Seymour Botanical Conservatory in Wright Park (peep the cute moment of Abi and her anticipation as she walked up behind Lance), a quick step outside for a snow photo, followed by an amazing reception at Edison Square. Their friends and family were so much fun to be around. They all welcomed us with open arms. Hope to have more time with them soon.

Oh, and make sure to check out their stunning rings, designed by a family member. You can see more of their stunning work at Columbia Gem House.

Super local proposal session done right in the heart of Tacome. The Seymour Conservatory at Wright Park is a really quaint arboretum that many people local to the area love to visit. I was contacted last month by a family member to help coordinate a surprise proposal at this amazing location. Matt proposed to Sara underneath the glistening light coming through the greenhouse, and she said yes. It was really nice spending time with these two wonderful families as their children get started on the next journey in their epic love story. Hope to be a part of telling more of their love story through photographs in the future.

Had a lovely time hanging with Sunny & Dakota over at Dune Peninsula in Tacoma. Got gifted some really nice clear weather for mid-February, and took advantage of the views all around us. Sunny & Dakota were a blast to hang with, and it was really nice getting this time to get to know them both. Surely going to be a fun time on their wedding day.

ENJOY!!
