I am brushing up on my skills in oil painting this year. I took a class in the spring from Rachel Dowd. She shared a lot of valuable information along the way. I love this little banana painting. I think I’ll hang it in the kitchen :)

I take photos of my boys around their birthday every year. While this little guy loves a lot of things, his first love will always be a strawberry. So for his portraits, I sat him in a chair and gave him about 10-12 strawberries in a bowl. He ate every single one. The photos are by far my favorite. I’ve decided to stop showing my children’s faces on social media. So here are his strawberries.

I’ll be teaching a watercolor class October 20th at the new art gallery in town! Dibble Dabble Art Gallery will be opening soon. I have several original works in the gallery as well!

A little close up of the drawing I just finished. If you saw my reel, I have lovingly called this drawing “Avocado Man” for over a decade. I started this drawing while in college 12 years ago upon returning from spending the summer in Uganda. I committed to finishing it this summer. This drawing is from a photograph I took of a gentleman who sold me Avocados. This image is cropped because….the AI machines. But, his eyes are my favorite part of this piece. In the full piece, he is holding the avocados he sold me.

Long live boyhood. My dad kept my radio flyer as a child and brought it up to my house for my boys 30+ years later. They loved the wagon and running barefoot through Seed and Sun Blooms. The Mammoth Sunflowers were their favorite. Go follow her page!
