I meannnnn 😍 Look at these two!!

Ana-Grace & Ty’s engagement session started in English Village and ended at Crest Road with the prettiest light, and they seriously made my job way too easy.

They laughed, loved on each other, and were up for absolutely anything I threw at them. These are the sessions that make me want to keep shooting until we completely run out of light. 🤍

And that second outfit?! Ana-Grace understood the assignment. 👏🏻

I already cannot wait to have these two in front of my camera again for their wedding day!

Nothing to see here… just me handing out heart-shaped sunglasses and encouraging questionable dance floor behavior. 😂🕶️

Because once the reception hits this point, I am no longer just documenting the party. I have officially joined it.

Imagine waking up to a letter telling you that sometime today… you’re getting engaged. 💍🤍

You have permission to get your hair done, get your nails done, put on something you feel beautiful in… but that’s ALL you get to know. 😂

You don’t know when. You don’t know where. You just know it’s coming.

And then you spend the entire day wondering WHEN IS THIS MAN GOING TO DO IT?! 😂

I absolutely loved getting to be in on this one. He still got to surprise her with the moment, she got to feel her best for it, and their family was there waiting to celebrate with them afterward.

Honestly, gentlemen… he may be onto something here. 👏🏻💍

My answer is almost always YES. 😂🤍

They’re part of your life together, so if having them in a few photos feels like *you*, bring them.

We’ll get the sweet everyone looking at the camera photos, let them completely ignore every plan I had for the next five minutes 😂, and then give them a break so we can focus on just the two of you.

Basically, bring the dogs. Bring the chaos. We’ll figure out the rest. 🤍

Engagement sessions should feel a whole lot more like a date and a whole lot less like a two hour photoshoot. 🤍

And listen, you do NOT need to know what to do with your hands. 😂 You don’t need to practice poses beforehand, and you definitely don’t need to show up knowing how to be “good at pictures.”

That’s my job.

I’ll tell you where to stand, what to do, when to move, and yes, probably make you do something that feels a little ridiculous at first. 😂

All you have to do is trust me and hang out with the person you’re about to marry.

And somewhere along the way, you’ll forget all about being “awkward in front of the camera” and just enjoy being together.

And that’s when we get the good stuff. 🤍

Elizabeth + Corey’s wedding was such a beautiful reminder that timeless doesn’t have to mean neutral.

Romantic portraits, the sweetest little in-between moments, and just enough time together to actually soak in the fact that they were officially husband and wife.

This is exactly why I’ll always build time for portraits into a wedding day without making your entire wedding day about taking pictures.
