Someone PLEASE tell this cutie to stop being so adorable! 😍 I seriously cannot handle it!

I’m finishing up her gallery tonight, and every single image is somehow cuter than the last. The sweet expressions, the tiny details, those cheeks… I am DYING from all the cuteness!

This is one of those galleries where I’m supposed to be editing, but instead I keep stopping to stare at how precious she is.

🐸It is and we are officially TIRED after our first full week of school!

My little Molly Jo started Pre-K this year, and apparently she has decided that 5:00 p.m. is a perfectly reasonable bedtime. Honestly… I can't blame her. 😂

And speaking of tired little babies… this gorgeous froggy friend looks like she is enjoying her nap too! 🐸

I cannot get over this sweet little girl!

Those gorgeous shades of blue and pink, those tiny little details, and that ADORABLE grumpy brow?! 😍 I mean… she looks like she has some very important newborn business to attend to. 😂

I also have SO many behind-the-scenes photos and videos from sessions that I should probably share… eventually. Maybe. Sometime.

Phew… we started back to school last week, so I’ve been a little notably absent around here! 😅 Between helping three of my kiddos transition from homeschooling to being in school, there has been A LOT going on behind the scenes.

But while I’ve been busy with school schedules and new routines, I’ve also had some of the cutest little newborns in the studio!

I’m absolutely loving the earthy feel of this backdrop. It’s simple and timeless, but still has enough character to make this sweet baby boy stand out. Sometimes simple really is best.

And speaking of school… I have to share a little something from my son!

He started at ASFA (Alabama School of Fine Arts) this year, and I am SO incredibly proud of him! 🎨 He definitely got his drawing skills from someone else because, while I can take a pretty decent photo, I absolutely cannot draw. 😂

Thankfully, he got the artistic gene from somewhere else! I can’t wait to see where his talent takes him. ❤️

One question I get asked ALL the time is: “What if my baby won’t sleep during the session?” 💤

I actually have a whole blog post about it with everything you need to know, but I can confidently tell you this:

It is VERY unusual for my babies to stay awake for the entire session.

I have lots of tricks, plenty of patience, and absolutely no problem taking the time your baby needs. Sometimes it takes an hour (or more!) to get that sweet little one fully snoozing — and THAT IS OKAY!

Once I get them into that deep newborn sleep, I can usually fly through the rest of the poses. Parents are constantly amazed at what I'm able to accomplish with their little ones, whether they're "good sleepers" or babies who seem determined to stay awake and see what I'm up to. 😂

And if baby is uncomfortable because of tummy troubles, gas, reflux, or something else? We work WITH baby. We'll take time to soothe them and choose poses and setups that keep them comfortable. I will never force a baby into a pose they're unhappy or uncomfortable in. 💕

So don't stress if you have a baby who doesn't sleep well. You don't need to bring a "perfect sleeper" to your newborn session to get beautiful portraits!

You just bring your baby. I'll bring the patience, the tricks, and the snuggles.
