JJP has been recognized in The Laker magazine as one of the top photographers in the Smith Mountain Lake area for 9 out of the past 10 years. Jen is the former Governor for VPPA 2015

(Virginia Professional Photography Association) and is an active member in the PPA (Professional Photographers of America) Jen also received her official designation as a Certified Professional Photographer in November of 2016. Some senior sessions tell a story... this one tells hers.

Meet Peyton, Class of 2027. A beautiful young woman with big dreams, a heart full of determination, and a clear vision for her future as an attorney.

She wanted to honor two things that mean a lot to her: her dad's classic Chevrolet and the future she is working so hard to build. I love when seniors bring pieces of their story into their session because that is what makes their portraits unforgettable.

She does not just play the game... she changes it.

Whether she is dominating on the soccer field or powering through the pool, this Class of 2027 senior brings determination, discipline, and heart to everything she does. Watching her athletic side come to life during her session was nothing short of incredible.

These are the moments I love to capture because they tell the story behind the athlete, the competitor, and the amazing young woman she has become.

We absolutely loved every minute of this session and cannot wait to share more.

Some families become so much more than clients... they become part of your story, as well as extended family!

When Jaxon's sister, Jocelyn Routt, was one of my Senior Model Reps years ago, I never imagined I would one day be photographing her little brother this soon... Time really does have a way of flying by.

Jaxon is the kind of guy who is happiest outside, whether he is rock climbing, working out, or hanging out with his dog, Layla. He is genuine, hardworking, and completely himself, which made this session so much fun.

It has been such a joy watching this family grow over the years, and I am so grateful they continue to trust me with these milestones. I cannot wait to share more from Jaxon's senior session.

Sometimes the best photograph is the one you never planned. ✨

Her mom, a talented photographer herself, reached out and asked me to photograph her daughter's formal portrait. As we were setting up the lights and getting everything ready... THIS happened.

One click. One unguarded moment. One absolutely stunning image.

Model material? Without a doubt.

Some people simply have that effortless confidence in front of the camera, and she is one of them. It was an honor to capture this beautiful milestone, and I cannot wait for everyone to see her formal portrait.
