A little over a year ago, I had the opportunity to photograph Lauren and Elijah’s wedding as they ran through the rain, boated on the lake and jumped into the pool on their big day. Last week, we moved a little slower as they just introduced two twins into the world and called me back to photograph another chapter of their lives. Such a blessing to be able to do such a thing 🤍🍂🫶🏽🍁

Also, pro tip as a client: if youre wanting to have photos done, DO THEM IN FALL!!! Cannot recommend Gods changing of the seasons more for a stunning backdrop!!!!

Mr. & Mrs. Swanson’s stunning wedding day at their hometown church. This sweet couple has so much family history and I loved being there to capture more of it 🤍 also, want to highlight the importance of having a journalistic approach to weddings while also incorporating some formal wedding photos like how our grandparents had hanging on their walls 🤍

Page & Alexa’s day is here!!!!! Cannot believe that these two met (up at the local gas station (very common out here in the country haha)) and then found out their grand parents owned property that bordered each others 🫠 half of their engagement shoot was on Alexa’s family land and the other half on Pages! The church they’re getting married at is the resting place for their relatives and I just know they’re up there in heaven cheering them on for their unity tomorrow!! A true “out of a movie” story. So excited to be there to capture it all 🫶🏽

As wedding season approaches, I can’t help but be reminded of this beautiful Smith Mountain Lake wedding from last year. Lauren and Elijah were hands down one of the most fun couples to shoot for especially when a downpour started and they fully embraced it from start to finish! Couldn’t have been a more beautiful day 🫶🏽 so excited for more of this for the 2025 season! Look at the last picture and imagine such a moment your WEDDING DAY 🥲
