You ever just not sure what to write? It’s been a long year, a lot of changing and moving and getting use to being on the east coast. I was excited to see that we were supposed to get over a foot of snow. That wound up being nothing but a massive ice storm and everyone’s power out. It serves as a reminder that being over prepared is never a bad thing. Things don’t stop on the farm just because the power went out but you’re guaranteed a fun time in the cold when trucking water via barrel from the pond to the cows. I definitely have missed sharing more on here but am going to be better at showing what life is like for me now. As many of you know the van is up for sale but the adventure isn’t over, just time for something new. To me it looks like some horses and a LQ trailer, packing some trails that will get your heart rate through your chest.

Winter is starting up here in ole’ Virginia but it’s not so bad next to the Dwarf 5K mini from been using this thing to cook our coffee on every morning. Couldn’t be better for our space!

I have always appreciated a good wood stove. That’s why I installed one in my van, and in our tiny home. The biggest appeal to me has always been cooking on the stove, making coffee, and occasionally throwing bacon right on top of the stove when without a pan. Lol. This little Dwarf 5KW has been awesome, especially for cooking. Wood from the farm kept us warm all winter long and having some friends that are obsessed with dropping hogs has been helpful. is to thank for all of these awesome memories. Check out their stoves! I have not regretted it.

Best way to warm yourself three times: fallin’ the tree, splittin’ the wood and burnin’ it.

sent us the Dwarf 5KW and it’s been a huge upgrade. Best part is you can put semi normal sized logs in it for it being a smaller stove! We went all winter no problems and it was just the right size for our 400 sqft space. Here in the near future, we’re looking forward to having our friends and visitors out to enjoy the farm and all the hard work we’ve put into this place.

The van interior may or may not look organized or planned to you. It’s 100% unplanned. Even the high top was done on a whim in 7 days. It all happened over a number of years when time and money were available to make some change. The same is to be said with our new farm. It will take time to build everything we want but until then we will be making videos about the process and sharing them on YouTube! Thank you guys so much for always supporting me. It means a lot. One day I hope to be able to have large groups come out for a farm tour!
