Morning of with Joelle🕊

There’s something about the morning of a wedding that deserves to be remembered just as much as everything that comes after.
The anticipation. The quiet moments by the window. Her girls gathered around her. The dress waiting in the doorway. And that moment with Dad—the kind of moment that says everything without needing a single word.
Joelle’s morning felt soft, joyful and beautifully unhurried. The warm light pouring through these rooms made it feel almost nostalgic, like we were already photographing memories.
As a wedding photographer, these are some of my favorite hours of the entire day. Before the ceremony, before the celebration, before everyone arrives—when it’s simply the people you love most soaking in the fact that today is the day.

There’s something about the nights that don’t go according to plan… ✨
With an 80% chance of rain, we could’ve easily called this engagement session off. Instead, we decided to stick it out—and I’m so glad we did.
The clouds rolled in, the sky kept us guessing, and then somehow Mother Nature gave us everything: the softest golden hue over the water, a rainbow in the distance, and just enough light to create a little magic. 🌈
And these two? They simply embraced it all—barefoot, laughing, dancing along the shoreline and soaking in every second together.

A reminder that sometimes the most beautiful photographs come when you stop waiting for perfect conditions and simply let the moment unfold.

As their photographer, I loved letting the surroundings become part of their story—the quiet moments inside the church, walking hand in hand down those grand steps, the celebration waiting outside, and sneaking away for a few intimate portraits of just the two of them.

And the black + whites… 🤍 They give this day that nostalgic, almost cinematic feeling I’ll never get tired of.

From photographing their “I do” to photographing their next beautiful chapter. 🤍
There’s something incredibly special about being invited back into a couple’s life after their wedding day. I had the honor of capturing these two as they became husband and wife, and now I get to document them as they prepare to become mom and dad.
This maternity session felt like such a beautiful continuation of their story — barefoot on the beach, wrapped in golden light, full of quiet touches, belly laughs, dancing by the water and all that anticipation for the little life they’re about to meet.
As a photographer, this is what means the most to me. It’s never just about one session or one milestone. It’s about being trusted to document the chapters that make up a life together.

From the quiet emotion of reading letters before seeing one another, to the laughter with your friends, every part of the day feels intentional and deeply personal. The Mediterranean-inspired architecture at the beautiful Powel Crosley Estate , warm sunlight, classic black tux, soft pink florals and her effortlessly elegant gown give the entire celebration a classic, yet editorial feel.

But what makes these images special is everything happening between the beautiful details—the laughter, movement, wind in her dress, kisses beneath the veil, and the pure we just got married! energy riding away together.
It was elegant without feeling overly posed. Romantic without trying too hard. A perfect mix of editorial imagery and honest, unscripted moments—the kind of wedding day that already feels nostalgic while you're still living it.

From the quiet moments overlooking the water before stepping into her dress, to a ceremony beneath those incredible old trees, every part of this day felt intentional and beautifully understated.

The soft white florals, organic greenery, classic black tux, delicate lace and those incredible pearl details created a look that felt sophisticated without ever feeling overdone. And then there were the moments that made it personal—the smiles during the ceremony, the laughter at the reception, the tiny details and fleeting glances that tell the real story of the day.
