Morning y'all.. Gotta question for those on my feed..

I'm hopefully doing a portrait class on Sept 28th, early morning with a fitness theme/look. Thought I had someone from one of the photography/model groups but apparently most only want to pretend to be a "model".. Even when getting paid..

So, as I continue my search thought I'd see if anyone on my feed would like to play model for about 2hrs on the 28th or know someone who might.. There is some pay for this, I think it would equate to a hand basket of groceries at Publix :), but better than a kick in the head LOL..

Would be workout attire, age not an issue as long as you're comfortable being in front of the camera... Normally I refrain from under 18 but if there is a HS Senior/Junior who's into fitness or maybe an athlete in great shape and PARENTS APPROVE, I'm open to that age range as well...

So I had a wedding this past Friday, many thanks to Nancy Taussig for the referral!! Always appreciative for referrals.. But besides getting to work with an awesome couple and group, I received the best compliment EVER!!!

As we had finished the service and Nancy was saying goodbye to the couple and myself and I was getting the groups the couple wanted to photograph, I turned around and NO ONE, and I mean, NO ONE, was talking cellphone pics of the couple!!! They were doing selfies, but nothing of the couple!! I looked back at the couple and said, "I was expecting a line of paparazzi taking your pic!!"....

Then this lovely lady, I think a friend of the couple, walked over to me and said: "We don't need to do that, we have a professional here to take photos...".. :O

I was in utter shock!!! i might have even told her I love you!! LOL!! Literally, a thousand plus weddings over my years of shooting, and this was like only the 2nd or 3rd time I didn't have to deal with wedding attendees taking pics and distracting the couple keeping me from doing my job!!

I told this beautiful person what an incredible compliment that was and how much it meant to me!! And I was very sincere!! It made my job so much easier because I had the couples and groups, full attention!!! We moved quickly and got the session completed without having to rush!! I just wish EVERY group had this mindset!!

To all the couples getting married and the friends and family that will attend, please keep in mind, you will be with the couple for the entirety of the day... The photographer, depending on long they've been hired for, has a short time to capture the story of their day.. And not to be mean, but if your photos aren't that great, it's no big deal.. If the photographer's photos are not good because the couple and groups being photographed are being distracted because of Celltographers, it is a big deal.. The hired photographer is being paid to get it right.. So please let them do their job with the fewest distractions possible.. It's a stressful job to begin with, we don't need added stress..

As I tell my couples and groups, once we hit the reception, have at it!!! But during the service and formal shots, they need to be all mine!!! Particularly when my time is dictated by that big light in the sky..

In the spirit of the month, I wanted to share some images I did with my friend Ashley with her now wife, Joy.. I was ecstatic when I found out Joy was in the Air Force and had her uniform and duffle.. So of course, we did a Welcome Home look!!

So you say you want to get published, I have some opportunities coming up!!

Looking to do a couple of submissions to ElanVital.. First is for a LGBT Special Edition and would need to shoot by the end of May.. Model must be a member of the LGBT community.. Individual or couples... Don't even have to be a model, just comfortable in front of the camera!!
The second submission is for Natural Redheads!! That's right Gingers, a month dedicated to you!! Must be shot by the mid July...

Hey guys, I'm still looking for either a female/female or male/female couple or models comfortable doing a very sexy/sensual shoot to submit for publication.. This is a collaboration for submission but the mag does pay a percentage of sales..

The theme is from 2 songs, Chris Isaak's Wicked Games and Halestorm's Do Not Disturb.. The main thing is that the couples or models have to really sell the sensuality/sexuality behind the songs in still images.. I may also do some short video, but this is mainly stills for submission..

If interested, message me at [email protected]. While it is preferred to shoot in Sarasota, if you think you have a cool location where you're at, I'm up to travel... The initial couple fell through and I'd like to bring these ideas to life..
