Summer is the time to go where you breathe free. 🙌🏼

It’s season for muddy feet,
wind-tangled hair,
and holding hands along blue mountain ridges.

For berry stains and sticky kisses,
cold mountain water dips
and warm late-night sunsets,
amongst firefly dazzled meadow grass.

Most of all, summer-time is a *feeling*
that returns us back to ourselves.
To our joy, to the present moment
and to who matters most in our world.

Her daughter. Both an echo and an evolution. Her reflection, and her rebellion. As she holds space for her to be her fullest self, she’s gifted that same safety and love for herself in return. They serve as one another’s teacher; of presence and of softness. Of trust in the journey and the sacred surrender into the untamable wildness coursing through their veins. Each reshapes the other. For as a daughter is born, so is the Mother.

That live inside my chest
I speak to them in quiet moments
Under night skies
And in my dreams

We are the keepers of a forest full of hearts
The tenders of its fertile soil
The readers of its leaves
The guardians of its wild territory

Sometimes
We dance together
Drunk on the perfume of
A thousand blossoms of love

Sometimes
We rub honey on our ribs
Broken from a thousand lifetimes
Of heartbreak

Sometimes
We rest
And forget the weight we carry
Just for a moment

I meet these mothers in secret
But they teach me everything I know.

Freedom. Wide open space. I could sense a wave of peace wash through their souls as we approached the top of the mountain. Hand in hand, there was stillness. The crisp air danced with the golden light as they rested into the moment, held by the earth, and one another. Light filled their hearts with the power of Now, where the deepest enchantment of motherhood is found.
