Giancarlo Paterlini photography In my images, I strive to imbue the landscapes with an impressionistic sensibility.

Photography is for me as a personal expression of the feeling and vision evoked by the places I visit, including both iconic locations and lesser-known landscapes.

Solitary refuge beneath the Torri del Vajolet. TheTowers rise like pale flames against the evening sky, their mythic glow lingering even as daylight thins. Below them, Rifugio Re Alberto I rests in quiet defiance, a lone ember of warmth and hospitality.

The pillars of silence.
Ancient cliffs glowing at dusk, a quiet realm carved by time and wind. Our return visit to this location was amazing. We were fortunate to experience exceptional weather conditions. This is one of the most remarkable runs huts in the Dolomites. The owners are warm and care about your experience, and they even appreciate photographers.

That iconic wooden bridge. A small wooden span curves over marshland, guiding the viewer toward a lake where the mountain dissolves into cloud. The bridge becomes a first gesture of trust—an invitation to step into the quiet.

Crown of the Dolomites.
The unmistakable Ra Gusela peak rising like a stone sentinel above the alpine meadows. The foreground’s radiant cluster of Rhodiola rosea mirrors the mountain’s vitality—earth and sky bound together in a single surge of color and form.
