The bridge of dreams. This image feels like a threshold between worlds. The Golden Gate’s towers rise through the fog like a beacon, its lights dissolving into the mist while the horizon burns with the last embers of sunrise.

Where time sleeps. An abandoned room swallowed by sand, its walls bearing the marks of time and desert wind. The warm light spilling through the doorways gives the space an almost sacred glow, as if memory itself were illuminating the ruins.

A couple of more shots from the Gost Town. Visiting these decaying rooms was very inspiring and enjoyable while finding compelling compositions.

Stillness among the dead trees.
Looking for a striking and different composition I roamed the area intently. When I found these trees, I knew I could create something interesting. It took me a long time to wait for the right moment as the place was buzzing with people. Four frames merged together.

The abandoned houses in Kolmaskop were built in the 1900s by German settlers and miners during a diamond boom in the German South-West Africa only to be abandoned in the 1950. It was a lot of fun photographing these rooms, the textures, the shifting of light, and decaying colors are ever changing creating the need to return.
