I am a natural light photographer in the Salt Lake area of Utah. I use a combination of interactive invitations and suggestions to encourage natural emotions from my subjects, so the photos look and feel authentic--because they ARE :)

I use mostly natural light. I shoot all over the Salt Lake Valley, Bountiful, Layton, Provo, and Tooele. I am willing to travel. I am an outdoor portraiture photogr

apher. I work with individuals, couples, families, kids, graduates, etc. I do weddings, events, headshots, and pretty much anything else you want me to do.

Had me a super handsome work buddy today (thanks, husband) 💋 at the Millcreek Promise Community Block Party. I had a weird sudden strain in my hip muscles this week so Ry came along to help me carry heavy things and give moral support. We crushed it!

When you thought your family was too crazy for photos and weirded me out, but I'm actually weirded in and now I get to photograph all your family milestones year after year and we basically hang out more often than your regular life besties.

Can you imagine an extended family photo session where the kids are happy the entire time? Where the "musts" are over quickly and painlessly and the fun part lasts the longest? Where the adults goof around, the kids are silly, and it's actually not a problem so no one gets told to calm down?

Helping people see what can really happen at these sessions is a highlight of my business. I can tell when people are willing to trust the process a little and let go of the restrictions traditional portraits place on us. Before those sessions I hear a lot of:

"My family isn't normal, we're a lot, we never shut up, it's been years since we've done this because it's hard to imagine getting everyone on the same page."

But after those sessions, it's:

"Everyone had such a good time and felt so relaxed! We felt like ourselves. The kids were so sweet."

We can ask so much more of our professional photos now, so let's!

Oh my goodness, what a treat to be a third wheel on an anniversary date night 😍 I really can't think of a better way to celebrate a relationship than hitting up all your favorite places in one night. It was actually exactly the kind of date night I'd go on myself -- delicious dinner, walking around SLC, a stop for drinks, and ending with a show 💕 I've really been trying to find ways to fit in more experience-led photography because these are the moments you WANT to remember. I'll do this ANYTIME!

What you see when we're there VS what I see in my head can be pretty different 🤩 I love finding the little ways to make connection pop in an every-day situation, like eating a burger at the corner spot with your person.

This song is the perfect match for my mood as I wrap up 2025, and the "why" in why I do what I do. Someday we will dream about today and wonder how it slipped away 🥰 So we need to take note of what matters to us while it's happening, while it's changing. I love that I get to help people do that in their own lives too!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Thank you for letting me do it for another year! ❤️
