April’s submission for the “Miniature Marvels” show. I was sick for opening night so it took me some time to get there to see it displayed. Ollie is once again my muse! Probably one of my favorite faces of him, but instead of 5ft tall, this one is about 2in! Oil painted on a mirror that I embellished with little mirrors and repainted gold. Retro and quirky! He is interrupting the viewer’s gaze of themselves, so I called it “A Cheeky Little Thing”. He is meant to be tilted as in slyly popping into view. I had kids with me at the gallery yesterday so I didn’t think to fix the rotation as it was hung, but it’s ok. Still cute! 12in diameter mirror. Again, better in person as it’s hard to get a clear picture because he’s soo tiny. I thoroughly enjoyed painting his micro details😍
