Sometimes the details that photograph best are the quietest ones.

The soft pattern in the wallpaper. The painted trim that frames it. The mix of textures between the bedding, wood, and stone. Nothing is asking to be the focal point, but together they create a room that feels layered and complete.

When I'm photographing a project, these are the moments I start looking for after the hero images are done. The details that help explain why a space feels the way it does.

A little Friday flair 🐆 This bar has presence. The saturated teal, the patterned glass, the marble veining.. it’s bold, but controlled. I kept the framing centered so the color could feel intentional.

Good design should feel just as elevated at 5pm as it does at 9am. This one is ready for both.

Spent the last few days bouncing between Banner Elk and Boone with the Hue Home Interiors team.

There was great design, of course. But also good coffee, memorable meals, mountain roads, beautiful lighting, and the kind of places that make you want to pull over and take a picture.

I have a soft spot for these kinds of moments.

Not the entire room. Just a small collection of objects that tells you something about the space. The texture in the artwork, the warmth of the walnut, the stack of books, the lamp tucked into the corner.

They're the images that make a project feel personal, and often the ones that end up being favorites long after the shoot is over.
