I think my exact words were "we need to remember this day when the light changes" and, my friends, its upon us. Today will be the last day of shooting past 530pm until we turn back toward the sun in the spring, and yet, its also merging into my favorite time of year. So this is your reminder to be the light. When it feels dim, bring the cheer. Hug your people. Enjoy the day. And don't worry too much. We will still have sun, golden hour is just at 430 pm, not 745🤍

Thank you, God, for the beautiful week we've had and the beautiful people I've been able shoot with. Thank you for your Son, and the sun. Thank you for my amazing clients this week, this whole season. To my clients, you bless me and my days by allowing me to see you- to do something I absolutely love and could never get enough of. I am incredibly grateful. Halloween is next Saturday, but my heart is squarely planted in the season of thanksgiving. 🤍

To Camryn, you are lovely and a joy. Thank you for allowing me to photograph you.

If you ever need someone to stay calm during a tornado, here's your girl. Started our session with sun and had to stop abruptly when all alarms, sirens, black sky and parents calling alerted us to end. It was a little wild for a sec. But, we picked up another day and finished with the most amazingly calm beach and all was well. Isabella you're calm and also super driven to do the things in live you want. I love every part of that. Take that with you forever. Enjoy senior year.

The night of our session was dim and drizzly all evening. Two days later we met at 725 am as the rose and were treated to am AMAZING gift of beautiful sky and light. Madison, wait for the light in all things and enjoy this senior Sunday! You are beautiful inside and out.

Two hills I will forever die on. The light trumps the location (literally and metaphorically) & don't settle.

I think this may have been the longest running session to date! We started one evening and got rained out and every day we tried to shoot again we were plagued by bad weather (lie for a month) until, finally, we got this late evening sun that made the wait worth while and everything angle glowed with warm sun.

Khloey I loved seeing you a few times to complete your session- you were a rockstar of patience and grace.

There is an education in travel and cultural experience that can not come from any other source than just getting out to do it. Gianmarco, our community is so blessed to meet and host you for the year, but also to build ties and friendships that will last lifetimes. Thank you Bynum family for giving Gianmarco an awesome home for the year and for asking me to take these of him! I so loved my time with Brandan and Katie because it is absolutely clear that all they want to do is marry their best friend. And, all I want to do it document it. Sometimes I leave sessions and can't believe that this love story has been existing in my area for the past near decade and I didn't even know either of you.... and now I do! And my heart is just with you and rooting for you!

Getting to know you during your engagement session process is exactly the right way to lead up to, and get the most out of, your wedding photography. I love seeing my people relaxed and work with them before the big day, when we will, again, spend a lot of time together. It also allows me to know you a little, get excited for you and want only the most enjoyable and memorable time for you. I care about you enjoying yourself just as much as I care about your photos. So enjoy this season of life. You guys have waited so long and I am so excited for you both.

Ila, I feel so blessed to have watched you grow up and be able to have so many sessions with you along the way. I know I always say how much you look like your mom, who I love so so much, but you are definitely your own person. And so funny and wonderful. Your parents and family are so blessed to have you. I hope your senior year is great and the world beyond it, even better.🤍

What a pleasure to shoot at Summer Dreams Farm. The Dahlias, and so many other flowers are stunning. Thank you for having us! I will be back next summer!
