Mr & Mrs Deeg 💍 A Perfect October Day 🍂

There is just something about a fall wedding in Michigan, especially when Mother Nature decides to show off a little!

I had the pleasure of spending a beautiful October day celebrating the Deegs at D-Bar-A Scout Ranch in Metamora, Michigan, and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting!

The fall colors, the peaceful surroundings, the lake reflecting the gorgeous blue sky, and sunshine that seemed to last all afternoon. Seriously, could we have asked for a better day?!

One of the things I love most about photographing weddings is getting to experience all the little moments in between. The smiles, the laughter, the quiet moments together, and watching two people simply enjoy being surrounded by those they love.

And this location? What a hidden gem! Between the rustic charm of the ranch and those beautiful lakeside views, I could have photographed here all day!

To the new Mr. & Mrs. Deeg, thank you for trusting me to capture such a special chapter in your story. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and beautiful adventures together!

Isaiah brought all the personality (and cuteness!) to the studio for his cake smash session!

But this session was extra special for me. ❤️

One of the greatest joys of being a photographer is watching families grow and being trusted to capture their stories along the way.

From first meeting Dr. Ramica through BNI, to photographing their engagement, wedding, big brother's milestones, and now Isaiah's cake smash — what an incredible journey to be part of!

It's so much more than taking pictures. It's building relationships, celebrating milestones, and preserving memories for families year after year.

MICHAEL | CLASS OF 2027 | PORT HURON NORTHERN

Golf course sunsets, Lake Huron waves, and a little fun playing with light!

Michael’s senior session took us from the beautiful greens of Port Huron Golf Club to the shores of Lake Huron and our historic Fort Gratiot Lighthouse.

And can we talk about that LIGHT?!

One of my favorite parts of this session was getting creative with the lighting — using the golden evening sun, shadows, and off-camera flash to create a mix of dramatic portraits and relaxed, natural moments.

Between the golf course and the beach, we had the perfect variety of locations to showcase Michael’s personality and interests.

Senior portraits should be more than just a nice picture for the yearbook. They should tell a story about who you are at this moment in your life.

JOSH | CLASS OF 2027 | PORT HURON NORTHERN

From the lacrosse field to the shores of Lake Huron, Josh’s senior session was all about capturing who he is!

We kicked things off with his lacrosse gear before making our way to some of the Blue Water Area’s most iconic locations — the historic Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, the beautiful shoreline, and of course, the Blue Water Bridge!

Josh was so natural and comfortable in front of the camera, making my job pretty easy! A great mix of athletic, laid-back, and classic senior portraits.

This is exactly what I love about senior sessions — incorporating the things you love and the places that make our area special while creating images that feel like YOU.

It's hard to believe we're already heading into the final weeks of 2026!

As we wrap up another incredible year, I wanted to share my remaining availability for portrait sessions and holiday experiences. My calendar is nearly full, and once these dates are booked, that's it for the year!

OCTOBER
- October 17 & 18 | Fall Family Sessions
- October 28 | Portrait Sessions

NOVEMBER
- November 3 or 6 | Portrait Sessions
- November 8 Outside Holiday Sessions
- November 10, 12 & 15 | Holidays at the Studio

These are my only remaining November dates! I'll be traveling to Pennsylvania for a photography workshop November 19–23, followed by the Thanksgiving holiday.

DECEMBER
The studio will be open Friday, Saturday & Sunday:
- December 4–6
- December 11–13
- December 18
After December 18, the studio will officially close for the remainder of 2026 so we can enjoy the holiday season with family and friends.

From the shores of Lexington Harbor to “I do” in Port Sanilac!

Joe + Alex, you two are something special!

We spent the afternoon exploring the shores of Lexington Harbor, soaking up those beautiful Lake Huron views, sharing plenty of laughs, and capturing all the excitement of this sweet season of life!

A little wind, some waves, sandy toes, and a whole lot of love made for the perfect engagement session. And can we take a moment for that gorgeous ring?!

Next summer, we’ll be heading up the shoreline to Lighthouse Cove in Port Sanilac to celebrate their wedding day, and I already know it’s going to be one for the books!
