I know this isn’t my typical editing style but I have really been drawn to this vintage muted film like editing. I think I might start offering it as an option. And I love playing around with different crops to bring emotion when viewing. This is just a little sneak peek from last nights session.

What does Expert Level editing mean? It means getting properly retouched photos. Removing boats, signs, other beach goers, and yes even those pesky hairs that the wind likes to control. Beach sessions are typically windy and hair likes to go all over the place sometimes. And sometimes you can’t get it to stay out of your face - no matter how hard you try. I often rapid fire shoot to get the hair not on your face at some point of the wind movement, but sometimes it is just there. Hiring someone who knows how to expertly edit away those hairs takes your images from good to great. My goal is to always help you look your best and like you’re the only ones on the beach.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve shared and that’s because this year started off in a way I wasn’t expecting. I found out I had breast cancer and ended up getting a double mastectomy and have spent most of the first half of the year recovering. I am now cancer free (early detection is key!) and ready to keep bringing you beautiful portraits.

Wasn’t able to work for several months, but thankfully I have had a lot of returning clients book me for July and later. Honestly, that’s one of the biggest compliments I could get and appreciate so much! This is one of those returning families I’m so grateful for! I love watching them grow year to year!
