43 DAYS. 😳

After 43 days without photographing a newborn, yesterday I FINALLY had a baby back in front of my camera.

Surgery recovery has felt like an absolute lifetime, and I cannot tell you how good it felt to be back in my studio doing what I love.

I may have been completely exhausted afterward… but SO worth it. 😂🤍

I missed this. A lot.

I just visualized a piece of my 3-year dream… and seeing it like this makes it feel a whole lot more real.

I’ve spent years photographing, posing, soothing, problem-solving, learning babies and refining my craft.

And the next chapter?

Teaching it.

Small, hands-on newborn photography workshops. Real babies. Real posing. Real lighting. All the little things I’ve learned over the years that you just can’t get from watching a video.

So… who’s ready to dive in with me?

Because apparently I’ve just publicly committed myself to making this happen. 😂

Tender Tuesday 🤍 Sometimes the most important part of a newborn session isn’t taking the photo.

Sometimes it’s stopping.

Taking a little extra time.

Offering a cuddle, a gentle rock, and letting baby know there’s absolutely no rush.

Newborn sessions aren’t about forcing babies into a schedule or expecting them to cooperate.

They’re about following their cues.

If your baby needs feeding, we stop.
If they need cuddles, we cuddle.
If they need a little extra time to settle, they get it.

And this little behind-the-scenes moment is exactly what that looks like. 🤍

So if you’re expecting and wondering, “But what if my baby cries through the session?”

Please don’t worry.

Your baby doesn’t need to perform for me.

They just need to be a baby.

Every newborn session is different. Sometimes there are unexpected circumstances, sometimes there are energetic big brothers 😂, and sometimes we simply adjust as we go.

My job is to meet your family exactly where you are and make sure your baby is always safe and comfortable.

And at the end of it all? Beautiful memories of a chapter that goes by far too quickly.
