I’ve watched way too many families put off booking a sessions because they are convinced they need to have it all figured out. The outfits, the poses, the location, the perfect timing…. It feels like too much! But then they pull the rip cord and just do it. They show up, take a big exhale and are able not to be themselves for a few minutes. And I capture something real. That’s when the magic happens.

Your job isn’t to choreograph perfection; it’s just to show up as the people your kids will remember. I’ll handle the rest. Don’t let photos stress you out. I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll actually enjoy!

I am so grateful for all the amazing kind words from those I have the privilege of photographing! It means the world to me that I can help make you feel comfortable, feel beautiful, and help foster moments for you to connect with your loved ones.

With “photo season” around the corner, it’s so important that you find someone you click with! Because honestly, having “chemistry” with the person behind the camera matters. If you feel comfortable with them, your time together will not only be so much more enjoyable, but your images will reflect how you felt!

You will be more natural. More present. More confident. More connected. And it will altogether be more fun!

I take pride in becoming fast friends with pretty much everyone I’ve had the chance to photograph. We tell jokes. I may snort. I giggle with kids fan girl over moms and hype up the dads. We have a good time!

Hey there - I’m Aubrey! Your Motherhood and Family photographer in Parker, CO.

When my kids ask what I wanted to be when I grew up, I’m not lying when I say I wanted to be a mom!

Motherhood was my heart’s desire and it transformed me in the most incredible ways.

And now it is my absolute favorite thing and privilege to photograph.

Motherhood is all the things: beautiful, messy, hard, amazing, chaotic, challenging, fulfilling and depleting. Honestly- it embodies every adjective I can think of.
And it is so worth honoring and preserving.

I saw a quote that the only people on earth are Mothers and their Children. And that hit me.

Just a little reminder…

Stop chasing “perfect” - whatever that even is!
Stop comparing yourself or your family to Instagram influencers or Facebook fanatics!
Stop worrying about every little thing.
(I know it’s hard! But it’s stealing your joy and your presence)

As moms we carry the world on our shoulders. It’s so hard to let go of all the things we think have to be perfect and just be in the moment. There’s always so much to do!! Planning. Schedules. Managing Behaviors. How we look and how we feel - all the things constantly colliding in our thoughts all day and night.

So I invite you to STOP.

Stop all the over thinking and move one thing off your future to do list.

Book your photos and show up ready to take a big ol’ deep breath. Let your kids be a little feral. Laugh instead of reprimand. Run and play instead of worrying about your angles.

Be. And for a moment let the rest just stop.
