Some moments remind you just how special the guitar community really is.
While attending the Leyenda Guitar Convention to watch my daughter perform, we also had the privilege of hearing the legendary John Knowles, CGP. A Grammy Award-winning fingerstyle guitarist, composer, and educator, John was the first musician to receive the honorary Certified Guitar Player (CGP) designation from the legendary Chet Atkins. For decades, he has inspired guitarists around the world through his artistry, teaching, and dedication to the craft.
As a photographer, there are moments you hope to capture, and then there are moments that capture you. Through the lens of Hot Sauce Media, I was able to preserve this performance, a quiet moment of mastery from one of the world’s most respected guitarists.
Watching a musician of his caliber perform in such an intimate setting was unforgettable. Even more meaningful was knowing my daughter was part of an event that brings together world-class artists, educators, and students who share a passion for music and excellence.
Grateful for moments like these and the opportunity to document true artistry. This is why I love what I do, creating images that tell the story long after the final note has been played.
