In a field along Hwy 42 in Marion County, Florida.

I was driving down Hwy 42 in Marion County when I saw this bald eagle perched in a tree. I turned my car around and parked in the ditch and started shooting pictures. I believe it was building a nest somewhere

Sweetwater Wetlands Park Gainesville, FL

We were at Sweetwater when we came across this Red-Shouldered Hawk. Every wildlife photographer has their bucket list of must capture birds. And for me, a hawk in on that list. So I lifted my camera and started shooting when the bird suddenly changed course and circled back towards me. And Finally!....my bucket list moment....I was able to capture a gorgeous hawk in flight against the bluest of Florida skies

Sweetwater Wetlands Park Gainesville, FL

Impromptu visit to Sweetwater Wetlands Park in the afternoon. Not too much activity as it was hot out! But the insects were active! Including this Common Buckeye Butterfly.

Mount Washington Auto Road, Gorham NH

Mt Washington, the highest peak on the East Coast, located in Gorham NH. We attempted to climb, but the winds were wicked and they were only allowing us to go about 3/4's of the way up before the road was block and we had to turn around. Winds at the top can reach hurricane force speeds. The road is narrow, steep and winding! Low gear was required for the ride down. And we stopped twice to cool the brakes. It was quite an adventure!

Badlands National Park

I was visiting the Badlands National Park in South Dakota, and I wanted to get a photo of the landscape with the Milky Way center over it. I took separate photos of the landscape and the Milky Way and then combined them in photoshop to get the composite photo you see here.

Silver Springs State Park

I had been to Silver Springs many times over the years and never encountered the Rhesus Monkeys so I asked around and was told you must go early in the morning to find them. So I arrived when the park opened on Sunday morning and to my delight there must have been at least 100 of them playing in the trees and walking on the boardwalk. This one in particular decided it was her day for a photoshoot. Posing on the boardwalk over the river I managed to take a few photos with my Canon R5 Mark ii at 400mm. This image was shot in RAW and processed with Lightroom. For anyone wanting to see these amazing animals please be mindful to keep a safe distance and do not feed or attempt to touch them.
