How is it that it’s already summer again and as another vacation is coming up, I realize I never even posted the last?
While shocking myself there how fast time is flying by lately … what better moment is there to reminisce with these photos while we are eagerly anticipating the next trip ✈️
The kids and I had our first solo trip ever … which was daunting initially, but it went better than I imagined it would! We flew to Germany to visit our family and stayed with my parents for a whole month. It was so nice to take off from working weddings and have a proper vacation. Jet lag was brutal for the first time since making these trips, it took us a whole week to adjust. That was one whole week of sitting at the kitchen table in the middle of the night, eating whatever we could find with a murderous appetite while whispering to one another so we didn’t wake up grandma and grandpa who were audibly snoring upstairs 😅
With that much time on hand though … we figured it would be super fun to have a camping vacation within our vacation. We all packed up and headed out on a road trip to Denmark!🇩🇰 We camped at the most gorgeous nature centric campground and got to sleep in a camper van. Such a cute and fun adventure that the kids still talk about. Olivia became very confident on a bike for the first time was finally coming out of her shell more and biked to all the playgrounds at the campgrounds. I just can’t wait to do it all again. And eat all the ice cream. Let’s not forget about the ice cream.
