I am truly honored and delighted to be named to this year’s 40 Under 40 list, a recognition that I deeply value and consider an important achievement.

I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the Arab America Foundation for its continued efforts to highlight the success stories and accomplishments of Arab Americans and to showcase inspiring individuals who serve their communities and make a positive impact across various fields.

The 40 Under 40 list represents far more than an award or professional recognition; it is a celebration of a generation of Arab American leaders, innovators, and professionals who work every day to build bridges, serve their communities, and contribute to the advancement of American society while preserving their cultural heritage and identity.

The significance of this recognition lies in its ability to highlight the talents and achievements of young Arab Americans, inspire future generations, and demonstrate that hard work and dedication to community service can create meaningful opportunities for impact and success.

It also reflects the diversity and richness of the contributions Arab Americans make in business, education, public service, science, the arts, and community engagement.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. I look forward to seeing more Yemeni American names recognized in future honorees lists.

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” – Steve Jobs
This quote reminds me of my journey in education. When I first started teaching, I
realized that passion isn’t just about loving your subject—it’s about genuinely caring
about your students’ growth and transformation. Every challenge became an
opportunity, every setback a lesson.
If you’re feeling stuck or unmotivated today, remember: your passion is your
superpower. Keep fighting for your dreams! 💪

Throwback Thursday: From Limkokwing to Where I Am Today
to my days at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology! Looking at this
photo brings back so many memories; late-night study sessions, creative
collaborations, and the energy of being surrounded by passionate learners and
creators.
I remember thinking back then, “One day, I’ll make a real difference in education.”
And while the journey has been different from what I imagined, I can say with
certainty: every experience, every challenge, every connection I made during those
years shaped who I am today.
The people I met, the skills I developed, the mindset I cultivated; it all led me here.
🎓 Here’s what I learned: Your education is more than just grades or degrees. It’s
about the relationships you build, the perspectives you gain, and the person you
become in the process.

The Lesson I Wish I Learned Earlier
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned throughout my academic and
professional journey is this: Growth comes from discomfort, not comfort.
Early in my career, I stayed in my comfort zone. I taught the same way, used the
same methods, avoided challenges. But everything changed when I decided to
embrace uncertainty. I took on new roles, learned new technologies, engaged with
different cultures and perspectives.
That discomfort? It transformed me.
It taught me that: -Failure is feedback, not a final verdict. The best learning
happens outside our comfort zones. Growth requires vulnerability and courage
If you’re facing a challenge or opportunity that scares you; that’s exactly where you
need to go.

Understanding the Power of Active Learning
Today, let’s dive into one of the most transformative concepts in education: Active
Learning.
🎯 What is it? Active learning is when students engage directly with the material
through discussion, problem-solving, and critical thinking—rather than passively
listening to lectures.
💡 Why it matters: Research shows that students retain 90% of information when
they actively engage with it, compared to just 5% through passive listening.
🔑 Key takeaway: Whether you’re a student or professional, don’t just consume
information—interact with it, question it, and apply it to real situations.
What’s your experience with active learning? Have you found it effective in your own
education or career?
