ARTIST + MUSE | GUATEMALA 🇬🇹
Guatemala started with one of those you have GOT to be kidding me moments.
I had been begging Jeff to let me disappear there for 2–3 weeks so I could immerse myself in Spanish before a little adventure we have coming up in October. He was NOT here for it. 😂
And then our clients called and asked if we would come to Guatemala to photograph them.
Wellllll… would you look at God. 😂
It became the first time clients had ever flown us internationally for a couples bo***ir session, and once we knew we were going, we did what we do best: we turned it into an adventure.
Antigua. Lake Atitlán. Guatemala City. The black sand beaches of Monterrico. 🇬🇹
We ate. We explored. We shopped. We danced. We watched some of the most gorgeous sunsets I have ever seen. I swung in hammocks and watched hummingbirds. We cuddled up in front of views that made us want to sit there forever.
forever.
And every morning around 5:15, before the rest of the house woke up, I got up and studied Spanish for two hours. Because apparently even my dream vacation comes with homework. 😂
We took tuk-tuks up the side of a mountain to the lookouts, and somewhere along the way Jeff looked at me VERY seriously and said, “I would never get in something like this without you.”
😂😂😂
And THAT is us.
