Lauren Ward Photography is officially going āØfacelessāØ
Iāve had this on my heart for a while now, but I didnāt know how to go about it or how it would be received by clients.
But the world is changing faster than we can keep up with. Thereās new technology everyday. Sometimes thatās a great thing, and sometimes itās scary.
What other people do with the photos I create is out of my control once they leave my computer. So, when it comes to your babies, I want to do everything I can to keep that control in your hands.
I will no longer be posting childrenās faces anywhere publicly. This includes, but is not limited to, social media pages and my website.
How does this change things for you?
Well, it doesnāt really. You wonāt be able to scroll my feed and see a bunch of adorable little faces anymore. But youāll see other tender moments full of love and laughter, small details we tend to forget, and the beauty in the chaos that is life.
At sessions, I might ask for some poses or movements that purposefully result in photos without your kidsā faces. I might take an extra few seconds to snap a few details or close up shots that capture the emotions and mood of the moment without identity.
Iāll still be posting, donāt worry.
And as for all you old people (jk jk - I mean all the non-children), your photos are still fair game. Unless, of course, you tell me otherwise.
I plan to continue posting photos of adults and seniors as usual. If you EVER want your gallery kept completely private, please let me know before you book your session. I can send you a modified contract that protects your gallery from being posted anywhere publicly. This is ALWAYS an option!
So, as you scroll my feed and website, you might notice some changes. Iāve been cleaning things up. Itās a work in progress, so stay tuned š§”
