There is a Great Egret rookery nearby. The season is just beginning with some nest building still going on and several nests with incubating parents sitting on them. Lots of in and out traffic.

Blood moon. Was supposed to be cloudy so I didn't get up at 2 to setup for this, but took the dog out at 4 and there it was when a hole in the clouds opened. Had to race for the camera, change the lens and all the settings.

Midtown Water Tunnel

There is a water tunnel that connects two streets in midtown Manhattan. One walks into an open tube with water flowing around each entrance as well as the full extent of the tube. The passage transports all the travelers literally from street to street but allows some to move figuratively from dimension to dimension. Some find it an experience, pausing to participate, while others seem untouched and remain in their own space as they move. This is one of a series capturing both.
