the dailypic 6221 yr18 011 Patriots Day: I covered the New England Patriots today for The Boston Sports Journal. Check out the page, see some of my photos, and support a great local sports site.
It's been a few years since I have been on the sidelines for BSJ, and this was a great one to come back to. First, Raiders v. Patriots, classic. Second, they honored the 2001 Super Bowl team (my favorite team). Vinatieri, Seymour, Law, Johnson, Bruski, McGinest, Scarnecchia, Weis, and more, all feet from me and my camera. Third, throwbacks: the reds looked so good out there on the field. Add in a strong win against a team that has been doing well themselves.
My favorite shot of the day was Maye watching his defense protect his lead in the fourth. Standing guard and proud over what he and his offense had accomplished.
So wraps up my three days of football photos. All taken with a rented lens that I need to painfully return tomorrow. I will miss it. I am sure I could have gotten great photos without it, but playing with the pros with pro toys is more fun.
