Like so many others, especially here in East Tennessee, we are so incredibly saddened by the passing of Dolly Parton. 💗

Dolly has always felt like such a special part of this area. My family has made so many memories at Dollywood over the years, her music has been part of our lives, and my own little “cup of ambition” even helped give me the courage to eventually quit my 9 to 5 and chase this crazy photography dream of mine. 🥹📸

But one of the things Dolly created that became especially meaningful to my family was her Imagination Library.

Ashton received books through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library completely free to us. Every month, another little book would show up with his name on it, ready for us to read together. 📚

Dolly once said, “The seeds of these dreams are often found in books.”

So I wanted to honor her by helping plant a few more of those seeds. 💗

🌸🦋 WILDFLOWERS FOR DOLLY MINI SESSIONS 🦋🌸

These will be 15 minute sessions for $175, and from every single session booked, $31 will be donated to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

That $31 helps provide books to one child for an entire year. 📚

So if I book just 10 sessions, that’s $310 donated. That’s 10 children receiving books for a whole YEAR. 😭💗

10 little ones getting books.
10 families getting to experience something my family was lucky enough to experience.
10 children helped for an entire year.

And if we book more, we help even more.

I can’t think of a better way to honor someone who gave so much to the children and families of East Tennessee and far beyond it.

Come run through the wildflowers, chase some butterflies, make beautiful memories with me, and help put books into the hands of little ones while we do it. 🌸🦋📚

I hope this is one tiny way we can keep doing the kind of things that would make Dolly happy and proud. 💗

Sibling love is such a funny, beautiful thing. 🖤

Having siblings of my own, I understand it so well. You grow up together, drive each other absolutely crazy, disagree with choices, question what in the world the other one is doing sometimes 😂 but underneath all of it, the love is ALWAYS there.

Years pass, lives change, families grow, and that bond changes with you. It may look different as you get older, but there is something so special about having people who have known you through so many different versions of yourself.

And then you get to watch the next little generation start building that same kind of love. 🥹

These photos just felt like family to me. The sweet moments, the chaos, the laughter, the little arms wrapped around each other. All of it. 🖤

🌲 Accommodations sleeping up to 20 people

That is your venue, somewhere for up to 20 of your people to stay, your coordinator AND your photographer already taken care of.

Our Winter Wedding Collections range from $7,400 to $17,000, and you can save nearly $1,900 depending on the collection you choose.

Spent the day at the Great Smoky Mountain Hot Air Balloon Festival and I’m pretty sure I could photograph these forever. 😍🎈

The colors, the mountains, the light, and those massive balloons floating through the sky were seriously unreal.

Of course I somehow managed to turn at least one of them into a moody little Kayla Jo moment because apparently I am physically incapable of leaving dramatic lighting alone 😂

Such a beautiful day in the Smokies, even if we were absolutely MELTING out there. ☀️🔥

There is nothing quite like seeing the Smokies under a sky full of stars. 🌌✨

Last night I photographed the Milky Way, Mars, and even caught a meteor streaking across the sky. I think astrophotography may have officially become my newest obsession. ☄️📸

There is something so humbling about standing in the Smokies under a sky full of stars. 🌌

The mountains are already beautiful on their own, but once the sun disappears and the sky opens up, it becomes something completely different.

Last night I got to photograph the Milky Way stretching over the mountains, Mars glowing in the distance, and even a meteor streaking through one of my frames. ☄️

Space has a way of making everything feel so much bigger, quieter, and more beautiful all at once.

I think I could photograph the Smokies a thousand different ways and still never get tired of them. 💛📸
