✨🧜♀️ **21 YEARS BEHIND THE CAMERA. AND I THINK I'M JUST GETTING TO THE REALLY MAGICAL PART.** 🌊🌙
I've spent more than two decades photographing people. Entrepreneurs, CEOs, artists, lovers, families, women reinventing themselves, people celebrating who they are and who they're becoming.
And I'm starting to wonder whether those 21 years were preparing me for something even more extraordinary.
**Motherhood. Family. The fleeting, sacred, gloriously REAL moments of being human.**
Especially underwater. Especially when we get to turn those moments into ART.
There's something almost mystical about pregnancy. A whole universe growing inside a woman. Two heartbeats. A new soul on its way into the world.
And water? Water is where life began. It's where we float, surrender, transform. Where gravity disappears and something almost supernatural takes its place.
Imagine an expecting mama suspended in water, wrapped in billowing silk, surrounded by flowers and dancing light. Part mermaid. Part goddess. Part Renaissance painting.
Not just a maternity portrait.
**A love letter to the extraordinary thing her body is doing.**
And I get to create these images with women during one of the most profound transformations of their lives.
I can't tell you what an HONOR that is. ❤️
And yes, I STILL photograph personal branding, corporate headshots, entrepreneurs, executives, and all the wonderful humans I've built my career around!
But in this wild AI age, when people are increasingly generating artificial versions of themselves for their professional portraits (which I think can actually undermine the trust they're trying to build, but that's another conversation 😂), I'm finding myself drawn even more deeply toward the things technology cannot authentically recreate.
**Your real baby bump. Your real family. Your real love. Your real life.**
The way your toddler wraps their arms around your neck.
Your baby's tiny fingers tangled in your hair.
Your partner's face when they look at you.
Your family laughing on the beach in La Jolla.
Your children running barefoot through the sand in Del Mar.
A glowing mama-to-be at sunset in Santa Monica.
A beautiful, chaotic, imperfectly perfect afternoon with the people you love most.
And YES, I might fix a flyaway hair, straighten a posture, smooth some fabric, or work a little Photoshop magic. I've been doing this for 21 years, after all!
But the bones of these photographs?
**They're BONE-DEEP REAL.**
Real humans. Real connections. Real memories.
Art made from something that actually happened.
And I think that matters more than ever.
