An artist’s studio is a sacred space. It’s where ideas come to life, where you create, experiment, and sometimes make a little magic. ✨ When I first brought up this shoot to Andrés, I wasn’t sure if he’d be open to letting me into such a personal part of his world. I was so grateful that he welcomed me into his home and studio in Topanga and trusted me enough to be vulnerable in front of my camera.

What started as a simple shoot became something much more personal, intimate, and eventually became MOUNTAIN LION. 🦁

So excited to finally share this new collaboration with Andrés! ✨🦁

What started as a “just for fun” shoot turned into something neither of us expected, and ultimately, something we’re incredibly proud of.

At the time, I was feeling overwhelmed with work and really needed a creative escape. I wanted to shoot without the pressure of deliverables or expectations, just a chance to slow down, experiment with a more personal approach to photographic storytelling, and create some beautiful images.

I’ve photographed Andrés a few times, but seeing him in his own space and natural element felt completely different. The creative sparks started flying, the story began taking shape, and MOUNTAIN LION was born.
