It’s been a little over 2 weeks since these two got engaged and I can’t help smiling when I look at these photos! 🥹

I met Isa in October of last year for her college grad photos and she told me “I’m sending your info to my boyfriend juuussttt encase” (best compliment ever)

So when I got the email from Lucas that he was proposing I straight up jumped out of my seat in excitement!! IT’s HAPPENING!

Lucas (with the help of some friends) completely pulled off a total surprise for Isa and thought of everything, down to which “side” she would prefer… To be loved, is to be known 🥹

Getting to be a part of your stories is such an honor to me 😭

After thinking about my own wedding day and witnessing so many others, I notice the details that make galleries feel deeply personal every single time 🥹
�Not just the expensive things but the meaningful things. The scribbled vows. The perfume you’ve worn for years. The random little trinket from your favorite trip together. Film strips. Grandparents' notes, ribbon, cufflinks. The weird little details that you can’t help but love.

Your details are what make your day, yours. Your story, your experiences, your memories, your favorite people - all of that comes in with the details.

Surprise surprise, a vintage car appreciation post! If you’ve been on my little corner of the internet for a bit you should know that I have a soft spot for vintage getaway cars! Everyone needs a little whimsy in their life and if you have to take transportation on your wedding day (even from the courthouse to dinner!) I think it should be in style!!

When the restaurant for your wedding celebration is just as excited for your marriage as you are!!

One of the coolest parts about my job & my couples is how many incredible restaurants they take me to, and was no different!

Celebrating Alexis & Zac over a pizza and some drinks is exactly what we needed after the windiest day we had all year (check out the last slide as proof 🤪)

So, if you need a sign to celebrate your elopement with all of your favorite people and enjoy a delicious meal at a Chicago restaurant, this is it!

If I had to explain my style of work to you, I would say “I’m a fly on the wall that you actually know is there” 😂

Meaning my style is heavily influenced by the documentary style of documenting and capturing what the day actually was/is. The ride down the escalator to get married at the courthouse, hugging your best friend because you both can’t believe today is the day, sharing a funny face with your spouse…. It all deserves to be captured, and you ALSO deserve not to have to wonder what to do with your hands. So when you need me to step in and post family photos, I’m SO there.

We walked into the Chicago Firehouse Restaurant for the celebration dinner and oh my gosh was it stunning!!

Meaghan and Javier left the courthouse with that just-married glow as we made our way to the basement space of where her sister & sister-in-law were working their magic.

Chicago Firehouse is a stunning backdrop for a cozy and elegant dinner celebration. With candles flickering, the warm leather booths, the table settings, and every little detail thought through with so much love!! (Also, I’m convinced they have the fanciest bathrooms ever?)

Take this perfect day as a sign that you don’t have to have a big, flashy reception, but can have a quiet, wholesome celebration with really good food, really good company, and a love celebrating its next adventure!

Just like these two 🥹 Meaghan & Javier, cheers to the next step in forever together! 🫶
