The “Spring Wedding Season of Death” is officially over!

✅ 8 weddings
✅ 8 weeks
✅ countless beautiful memories

For some photographers, it’s probably no big deal. But for me, it was a lot of work and hours to make sure I showed up for each couple equally.

That’s means being equally prepared, equally rested, and equally excited for each couple who trusted me on one of the most important days of their lives.

I’m a wedding photographer because I love it. I love the creativity, the emotions, and the energy of a busy day. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who chose me to be a part of something so important ❤️

Such a beautiful day with Kira and Luke at The Barn at Willow Brook!

I’m so excited to share some more sneak peeks (when I’m not on the road), but something I always find interesting are the details in a photo that stand out to me vs a client.

Often, my favorite photo is different from theirs. And it’s always fun to see!

What I love about this photo?

💚 A wedding party photo that incorporates the venue! Getting shots of the wedding party lined up are a must have, but I love when you can do something different because the venue allows it.

💚 The reflection of the sky in the windows! I’m a sucker for reflections 🪟

💚 The love and excitement this wedding party has for Kira and Luke!

There were so many amazing moments from Erik and Manzhen’s wedding! Here are just a few of my favorites:

💚 As a wedding photographer, I get to see so many amazing venues. But there’s something special about getting married in the backyard you grew up in.

💚 A truly insane storm came through for about 30 minutes during the reception, but The Catering Company and Michelle’s Main Event did an amazing job making sure nothing was interrupted!

💚 Towards the end of the night, Erik started dj-ing his own reception! It was a super cute moment and he absolutely killed it

It’s been an absolutely hectic spring with 8 weddings in 8 weekends! I’m so so grateful for everyone that chose me to be a part of their big day (and also so excited for a weekend where I never have to leave the couch). Just three weeks to go before a break!

The Spring and Fall are definitely the busy seasons, so if you’re planning a wedding then, I recommend you book your vendors ASAP!

A little rain never hurt anyone! (Okay it might have hurt my camera, but it was worth it).

Instead of letting the rainy Memorial Day weekend get them down, Abbey and Isaac leaned into the romantic Pride & Prejudice vibes for some truly amazing results!

As a side note, I do love a bride with an “I don’t care about the mud, let’s just get the picture” attitude ❤️

An absolutely gorgeous day with Olivia and Clay! Also we experienced just about every type of weather imaginable 😂

From a sunny ceremony to stormy portraits, and finally a surprising and beautiful golden hour, this day truly kept us on our toes! ⛈️

The venue was a longer drive than normal, but I’ll say what I said all day during the wedding — it was 100% worth it. I love getting to leave the DMV area because the views are always phenomenal, and you never know what you might find!
