We're Steve and Bernadette, a husband and wife from Leesburg, Virginia, documenting weddings in DC and everywhere else. It is more than a committed relationship with a 50% chance of failure. We believe that a great marriage will change the world by its impact on everyone that comes into contact with it. This is important. We often get asked what our favorite aspect of photographing a wedding is, a

nd we always say that we love what it does for our own marriage. We are blessed to witness and document stories of couples at their very best. It inspires our own relationship by reminding us why we are on this crazy adventure together. Our goal is to deliver that same inspiration to all of our couples. We want to give every couple their own unique story that captures exactly why they showed up to their wedding so that they have a lasting reminder to always come back to whether things are going well or whether things are incredibly hard. We want every couple to see how they looked at each other. We want every couple to see how they laughed or how they cried. We want them to remember how they felt and never forget. Marriage is THE adventure, and a wedding is the start. Remembering the start with all of its value and meaning is lasting inspiration.

We stepped out of our day-to-day in Virginia and into the wonderful wilderness of the West. We chased waterfalls, swam in mountain lakes, hiked through a thunderstorm, maintained a safe distance from wildlife, and (not-pictured) drove for *h o u r s*

But, as all of our road trip adventures tend to do, we grew closer as a family, made some incredible memories, and grew in awe and wonder at God’s glorious and bountiful creation.

We’re so grateful for our time together, and grateful to be home. And impatiently waiting for film scans…

Madi and Charlie’s wedding was drenched in light and laughter. Smiles and sun and sheep on the gorgeous grounds of Middleton Place only enhanced the love and beauty surrounding the start of their marriage.

Mallory and Alex's wedding day was further proof that backyard weddings have a special place in our hearts.

There is a cozy chaos when you are putting your dress on in your mother's room, sitting on the dock you've spent countless summers watching the sunset from, and inviting all of your favorite people to celebrate in a place that holds such deep meaning. It is the ultimate act of hospitality.

The minute someone finds out you're engaged they start asking you about the details - the colors, the florals, the setting. But those are all expressions of something much deeper: the experience.
