Unfortunately, stuff like this does happen when you hire an “affordable” or “budget” photographer. Because that is really a nicer way of saying cheap or inexperienced.

October 24th was a perfect fall day in Northern Virginia. Jenna & Derek’s wedding day was golden with not a cloud in the sky. The backdrop of Heigh Torr Estate in Purcellville, VA gave us all the colors of fall and the pops of pink in Jenna’s bouquet added just the right touch.

Jenna is such an intentional bride. She is so thoughtful of others. So much so that she knew my love of lemonade and bought me some lemonade to have at the reception 🥹

Exactly one year from their engagement photos until their wedding day! It was a magical October 22nd at Events at DAR but I think October 22 2027 is going to hold even more magic.

If you don’t know about this building in DC it belongs to the Daughters of the American Revolution and it has the most incredible exterior with a great view of the Washington Monument. You should definitely check this place out!

Morgan & Rachel are on the blog!

One of the hardest and most beautiful parts about being a wedding photographer is building relationships with my couples. I have been so excited for Morgan & Rachel’s wedding from the moment we met on our consult call. We just clicked right away. Now, their wedding day is over and like many couples there is a sadness that happens when the wedding is over. I just wish they could get married all over again!

It was all about the details, food and family John & Julie’s wedding. A 3-Course meal with their closest family and friends and dancing late into the night while the rain came down outside. It was so warm and felt like a really nice family dinner.
