As an equestrian journalist for over 15 years, I've always followed my passion for telling the stories in equestrian sport, whether it be through the written word or images. With a specialty in show jumping, I've covered two Olympics, World Championships, many World Cups, and every competition in between. My focus on photography began in 2012 at the London Olympic Games and continues to evolve and

develop. For me, there is nothing better than the constant pursuit to capture the perfect image. Whether I'm shooting a major sporting event or photographing a subject in quiet solitude, I do it in my own unique way to produce images with meaning and emotion that you won't forget. I am based in Wellington, Florida, USA, and I can easily travel to your location.

My month of living my best Beginner Novice life came to a fantastic close today at Seneca Valley PC Horse Trials with a really good day out for 5th place in a tough division! A careeer best dressage score and solid stadium round set the Golden Boy up for a cross country tour that only included one silly rider mistake but hit some big goals of professional galloping and feeling like green spooking is maybe a thing of the past. This year the stars aligned to allow me to tick off a USEA recognized event in August, and I fully enjoyed just being a rider today, with my coach supporting me through every phase and goal and panicked I-don’t-know-this-dressage-test moment. Thank You Milestone Sport Horses !! A Sunday afternoon with all the hard work in the rearview is a great feeling!

And one more thing. Seneca didn’t have an official photographer at their horse trials this weekend - and they deserved one. Stadium was flawless, dressage was great and XC was built to recognized standards that gave riders of all levels challenges and goals to reach for. I knew there wouldn’t be an official photographer today, so I called a friend, but that’s because my friends are all amazing professionals -S/O Jessica Duffy Photography- and I can do things like that. Not everyone can.

But also, because for me, show days are a culmination of months and weeks of lessons, daily care, hard work, practice and highs and lows, just like they are for you. Achieving personal bests and having the photos to prove it, edited and available same day of course because we are Team EG, made my day that much better.

I really encourage everyone who rode this weekend to join me in filling out a USEA Event Evaluation form in order to support Seneca with your positive feedback, while emphasizing that having professional photos of your day means everything. It sure does to me. With advance planning, anything is possible! We are very lucky in USEA Area II to have this amazing sport at so many venues, & supporting them back is crucial. While I don’t want to be the photographer at all events, I sure want an official photography team there every time I event!

One of the very best championships is right around the corner - Team EG will be back at the iconic Kentucky Horse Park this October for the 2026 Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover!

This is a highlight week for myself and my team, and not only because we stand in awe of The RRP’s mission & its support of all things OTTB!

I love when ambitious people make things happen!

A day of jumper rounds under the oaks at the historic Upperville showgrounds is a big first and opens this amazing arena up to so many more people; we all owe a huge thank you to the group behind A Jump Above Horse Shows for giving us this opportunity, as well as Upperville C**t & Horse Show for this day!

I couldn’t wait to enter when this was announced, because August is for living my best life with my horse and the chance to ride my non-hunter on this hallowed ground would otherwise never come about 😆.

For me, having a great day as a rider at one of the venues where I work always feels full circle, and knowing that Queen of the Parker Ring Topeka Custom Design & Photo was the official photographer was just more reason to band that golden mane and practice extra this week. These photos are everything 🌟

We are all very lucky! I hope your Sunday was just as great ☀️
