A little while back, I decided I wanted to make more of an effort to celebrate the genuinely good people who cross my path. So here we are, with the second little installment of what I hope becomes a tradition around here 🫶🏼
This summer, I met the sweetest little girl and her family on the eve of her adoption day..a day that would change their lives forever.
I knew there was something incredibly special about this family. But what I didn’t know was just how unexpectedly our lives were already connected.
Weeks later, through a conversation with a sweet friend of mine, pieces of a story started falling into a place that none of us even realized were connected.
And somehow, two families whose lives had crossed long before I ever picked up my camera found their way back to one another.
There is so much more to this story, but those pieces aren’t mine to share.
What I can tell you is that this sweet little girl didn’t just change the lives of the family who gets to call her theirs. In the most beautiful and unexpected way, she played a part in changing the lives of another family, too.
And somehow, I got to be a tiny part of bringing those stories back together.
I think about how often we move through life having conversations, meeting people, making connections, never knowing how far those little moments might reach..
Sometimes, they reach farther than we could ever imagine.
To this incredibly special little girl and her family, thank you for crossing my path. You reminded me that some of the most meaningful things this little business brings into my life have absolutely nothing to do with the photographs. 🥹🤍
