This little cutie was in his mommy's belly not too long ago, and now he is almost a big brother. 🥹🩵 I always have so much fun when I get to spend time with these three, and I genuinely cannot wait to see them again soon once they become a family of four. Their backyard felt like a personal secret garden, which means it felt magical. ✨

I'm always grateful when I get to photograph people more than just once, because it is so special to see how they have grown and changed. It, also, makes us all increasingly comfortable with each other. In many ways, this lovely mom and dad feel like old friends -- which is just the best! 🥰

It's the first day of June, and I am reminiscing on spending some time with this precious family over the weekend! ☀️

This was my second time photographing them, the first time being five years ago at the beach. You can imagine how I might have felt when I walked up to see that the baby of the family then was a big girl now AND that two more babies have been added to their crew. 🥹 I even got to meet Grandpa & Nana this time!

It is one of the highest honors when a family asks me to photograph them again. Big love for the Heaton family! 🥰

I cherish every opportunity to photograph seniors, because I know how bittersweet this time is for them and the people who love them. Several of the seniors I have been blessed to photograph this particular season have struck a nerve because of how long I've been blessed to love and watch them grow.

None of them hit harder than this one though. 😭🩵

My handsome nephew is graduating from high school this afternoon, and I feel proud enough to burst! 🥰 It legitimately seems like yesterday that I was meeting him for the first time, and now he is stepping into a new chapter of adulthood. He has become such an incredible young man full of so much potential, and I hope that he will be blessed and highly favored no matter where life takes him. I will always cheer loudly and pray diligently for this gentle, good-hearted, resilient dude -- especially today. 🥹

💫 The Davis Family 💫

A mid-week morning with some of my favorite people is what dreams are made of. 🤩 I have been loving and photographing these beautiful faces for so long now, and it is sincerely the biggest blessing. They showed up in their perfectly coordinated outfits and precious smiles, and my heart just squeezed. 🥰

Speaking of my heart squeezing, they shared the kindest words of affirmation to me as we were wrapping things up and saying our goodbyes. 🥹 I am a words girl through and through, and their gracious comments meant so much.

So thankful for the blessing of time with them made possible by my camera, yet again! 🙌🏻🫶🏻

✨ The Richards Family ✨

These precious people were going to be visiting the Upstate from Georgia, and dad had a wonderfully thoughtful idea: to surprise his wife with a family session for Mother’s Day. She had NO idea until I was there waiting on them, and it was the sweetest sight to see when she realized what he had done. 🥹 It was, also, the best hearing her say through shock and a big smile, “I had no idea why he was in such a hurry, because I thought we were just going to some pictures on our phone!” 😂🥰

Their twin babies were the stars of the show with their matching outfits and grins, and it felt like a hug from heaven to spend this time with such a genuinely delightful family. This will be a session that stays with me for a long time. 🥲

The best way to start a Monday as a photographer? With your friend and her littlest love, of course! 🥹🩷

I had the absolute sweetest time with these girlies! We spent time in baby girl's room before heading out to their field, and I am having the hardest time picking out favorites. Miss Baylor is as darling as she could possibly be, and my heart is so full after a memorable session with her and her gorgeous mama.

Photographing my beautiful Campbell is a way to hold space for who she is and for who she is missing. ❤️‍🩹

There are no words for how profound every smile and hug she gives me is, and I don’t take any of them for granted. Sessions like this are truly why I love doing what I do — pictures help us remember so much we’d otherwise be tempted to forget. 🥹 The people in the frame are the heartbeat of why I just can’t put my camera down.

In that first frame, I can almost feel her mom looking at me.

What weighty blessedness to see and love and remember. 🫶🏻 I sincerely love this darling girl with my whole heart!

Photographing seniors is such a special honor. 🥰🎓 When this time of year rolls around, I always feel such nostalgia and gratitude as I think back on my own education journey. So much can be said for ending one chapter and starting the next, and I feel confident that this sweet girl has so many good things in her future. As I snapped away, I loved hearing about her plans and dreams for what comes next. 💙

Her precious mom was nearby during the session, too — close enough to be there if she was needed but far enough away to give her daughter space to express herself. It was such an encouragement to me as a mom, myself, and I couldn’t help but thinking how this is what life is all about. We’re all just growing up in our own ways and trying to honor every season and the changes that come with them for what they are. 🥹

Here’s to big adventures ahead of you, Bella! I pray and believe that the best is still yet to come. 🦋

This beautiful young woman was in my class 15 years ago when I was a preschool teacher, and now she is almost a high school graduate. Cue the tears. 🥹 I always knew she would become more amazing as the years passed, but the passing of them feels quite bittersweet. I feel unthinkably blessed to still be in her life today, and I am so very thankful I got to document her as a senior. 🩷
