Prop ideas for your senior photos!!📸🎓

Props are not a necessity but they can help tell your story through your senior photos! And sometimes the simplest prop can be the perfect item to add to your photos!

Some of my favorite props for seniors to bring are:

🏫 College banner or acceptance sign - this will be a great prop for a photo on your grad announcement!

💐Flowers! This is always a popular request but the absolute best way to make sure you have flowers in your senior photos (bc Mother Nature is unpredictable) is to bring them with you!!

📷Your kindergarten graduation photo!! This is a favorite with parents bc it reminds them of your first "graduation"

🐶Your pet!! It's always a great idea to get photos with your childhood pet and take these photos with you to college so it feels like home!!

💕 Your favorite hobby! Props that help showcase something you love to do will help tell your story!

Class of 2024 is definitely in their destination era!✈️🏝️

This year has been the year for destination senior photoshoots and I'm here for it!! So far I've traveled to Charleston, Kiawah and Florida for photoshoots. And I'm headed to Charleston again as well as Hilton Head!

Class of 2024...here's the deal!

In order to be in the yearbook, you have to have yearbook photos taken! BUT...

The yearbook photo doesn't need to be your senior photos!

Why? Because senior photos should be all about you, not the yearbook!

Yearbook photos are taken the summer before you start your senior year inside your school on a backdrop. There isn't a lot of time spent getting to know you, trying to capture your personality and giving you a fun experience. It's all about everyone having the same photo, wearing the same thing so it looks uniform in the yearbook. And that's great...for the yearbook!

Your senior photos should be MORE! Your senior photographer should spend time getting to know you, capturing your personality, showing off your style, giving you tons of variety and creating an experience that is fun and unique to you!

Finding the perfect location for se our photos sometimes means driving to a farm in Georgia! Which is exactly what we did in order to bring vision for her senior photos to life!

We created tons of variety with the different spots on the farm including the cows, white lace, a greenhouse and wildflowers!

A boy and his dog...what could be better?! 🐾🐕‍🦺

Maybe taking your dog to college but since that most likely can't happen having photos with your dog to take with you is the next best thing!

Sometimes you just meet people you immediately click with! That was definitely the case with Amelia and her mom who drove from Georgia for her senior session...twice! 😊📸. We had so much fun the first time we did another shoot in the spring!

During both shoots we saw some funny things, Amelia got asked if she was a bride (not sure what about a tutu says bride 🤷🏼‍♀️) and we tried out new locations!

Amelia showed off her amazing dance skills which resulted in some amazing shots and I love her senior jersey and letterman's jacket she wore for one outfit!

Amelia you are going to have the best time at Georgia and I can't wait to come visit and take your next senior photos!!😘
