Hi, all!! I figured it was time for a proper intro with so many new faces around.

I’m Holland Ehnes. Last name rhymes with Venus. And yes, I have ancestors from Holland — isn’t that veird? 😆 (sorry if you don’t get the reference)

I’m a wife, girl mom, and pet owner: two little old lady dogs, a big clumsy puppy, and one hamster (who’s named after the main character in The Master of Disguise). We’re accepting applications for goats and piggies if anyone needs to rehome one, lol…just don’t tell my husband that. 👀

A few of my favorite things: neat rocks, animal skulls, catching frogs, butterflies, chai lattes, baking, thrifting, rom-coms, and chocolate.

I am what most would consider a “self taught” photographer, but I definitely give credit to YouTube, fellow photographers who share tips & tricks on socials, Pinterest, and so on. I started playing around with a camera that my FIL lent me at the end of 2018. I got hooked, and here I am, almost 8 years later. I’ve been really lucky to have some of my work published and recognized locally along the way, and I’m just grateful to keep learning and growing.

I believe in doing things thoroughly rather than quickly, and I’m big on supporting other creatives — no brand shaming, no ego, just good vibes.

Outside of photos, I also make jewelry and bake. I just love making things, and I’m here to help make the world a little more colorful and whimsical.

Stopped downtown last week while Samantha Houston was working on her piece for the eighth annual Great Walls Mural Festival (previously Artsfest Montana). I love the vibrant color palette she chose, as well as the story behind her mural. These photos show her addition still in progress, but it is now complete!! To check it out in person, you can see it on the back of Spark Children's Museum of Montana!

Sorry, y’all! Second post of the day. But I wanted to share that I’m not taking any more sessions on for September!! With that being said, I’m only planning on booking a couple more sessions for the month of October, then I will be shifting focus for a while. I’ve been pushing back my cottage bakery for far too long, and I need to step away from the computer for a while. So if you want to get booked for fall photos, let me know ASAP, as I am only taking on a handful of sessions for the remainder of the year. Thank you all so much for the continued support! 🫶🏻

This family… Wow. Stunning inside & out. Sometimes I let my nerves get the best of me, and they don’t leave until after a session has been delivered. But this session was not one of those. This family has so much love for each other. And so much light within. They’re humble. Kind. Honest about their past, and hopeful for the future. Despite all of the hurdles this crazy life has thrown them, they are strong. Steadfast. True to themselves. Carriers of light. I’ve never had a family pray with me after a session until this sweet fam came along. This summer has been my busiest season yet! While I’m incredibly grateful to finally be photographing full time, I will be taking a short break soon.

In the meantime, I’m catching up on sharing the sweet families and seniors I’ve had the honor of photographing this season. This family was such a joy — I’m so glad we were able to squeeze in their session this year. I always love working with clients who go with the flow and make the process as fun for me as I hope it is for them.
