Some people make a difference in your life in ways they may never fully realize. 🤍

This family holds such a special place in my heart. Their dad was the doctor who sat with my brother and me and gently, honestly told us we had six months left with him. He was kind but direct, and he gave us something I will forever be grateful for: time. Time to prepare, to be present, to soak in the little things, and to truly experience those final months together without feeling rushed or left in the dark.

I think about that moment with him often. I’ve carried so much gratitude for the way he cared for us, and I honestly never imagined I’d have a way to properly thank him or repay even a little of what he gave our family.

Getting to photograph his family felt like such a full-circle moment. I hope these photos give him even a small piece of what he gave me — the chance to hold onto the people he loves and the moments that matter most.

Because sometimes, the greatest gift we can give one another is time. And sometimes, the smallest moments of kindness leave the biggest marks on our hearts. 🤍
