We’re excited to share that My Doula Grand Rapids is growing 🤍

Please help us welcome Jessi to our team! She brings a grounded, compassionate presence and a deep commitment to supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

As our practice continues to serve families in West Michigan, we’re grateful to expand our team in ways that reflect our values and the level of care our clients expect. Jessi will be onboarding with us this summer for births and photography, so you may see her at a consultation if you have a guess date after June 🥰.

We’re looking forward to all that’s ahead 🌱

This work has never really been about numbers. Birth and support aren’t statistics, but we value transparency and sharing openly, so here’s a snapshot of what this year looked like for us.

Each number represents a family who trusted us during an incredibly important season of their lives, and we are so grateful for every client we had the privilege to serve this year. We truly love this work and the people we get to do it with.

We also joined the Michigan Medicaid registry this year, which was an important step for us in making support more accessible to more families.

Not to mention thousands of miles driven 🚗😅
Late nights, early mornings, back roads, and hospital parking lots. Whew what a year.

Thank you to our clients and community for another meaningful year. It has been an honor to serve you.

we hope this upcoming year is kind to you. We hope if you’re waiting for your turn to snuggle a sweet baby that this is the year where that comes true. We hope you find rest and peace with family.

✨ Big news for birth support in Grand Rapids! ✨

After many years of advocacy, Butterworth Hospital is once again welcoming doulas into the OR to support clients during cesarean births starting in February 2026! 💛

We’re overjoyed that families will now have continuous doula support from labor, through surgery, and into recovery. Every birth deserves compassionate, familiar care, and this change means we can continue walking alongside our clients even when their journey takes a little side quest.

This is a huge win for birth equity, emotional safety, and the beautiful work of continuity of care. 💫
