My baby girl turned one, and I still don’t think my heart has caught up.

We did a tiny Target inspired first birthday session red polo, khakis, name tag, little bag and all and it was every bit as cute as I hoped.

But it also hit me harder than I expected.

She’s my last baby. My sixth. The final first birthday in our family.

And this is why milestone photos matter so much to me.

They’re not just about a cute theme or a pretty setup. They’re about freezing the little personality, the tiny details, and the season you don’t get to relive.

The way they look at this age.
The way their tiny hands hold things.
The way their whole personality fits inside one little expression.
